  My views Plot In 1987,  Father  Gabriele Amorth, the  Pope 's personal  exorcist , an earthy, scooter-riding, humorous, practical man, visits an Italian village where a man is seemingly  possessed  by a  demon . With the local priest, Amorth enters the room where the man is tied up. While  exorcising  him, using a  Saint Benedict Medal  sacramental, Amorth taunts the demon, challenging it to possess a pig; when it does, the pig is killed with a shotgun. This incident gets Amorth in trouble with a  Church  tribunal, since he acted without permission from superiors. One tribunal member is  Bishop  Lumumba, but another is an American  Cardinal , Sullivan, skeptical of demonic possession. Amorth replies that evil does exist and that he did not perform an actual exorcism but rather, some psychological theater to help the  mentally ill  man. Disgusted, Amorth walks out of the tribunal.   My view Plot The film starts with a naked figure sitting in a tree in a  mental asylum . Nurses come out to him, to try to coax him off of his perch, using a plate of raw fish to persuade him to come down. As the nurses get him to put on some overalls, it is shown that he has a tattoo of a phoenix on his chest. Years ago, Fenix spends his time performing as a "child magician" in a circus run by his father Orgo, the knife-thrower, and his mother Concha, a trapeze artist and aerialist. The circus crew also includes, among others, a tattooed woman, who acts as the object of Orgo's knife-throwing feats, her adopted daughter Alma (a  deaf mute  mime and tightrope walker whom Fenix is close to), Fenix's dwarf friend Aladin, a pack of clowns and an elephant. Orgo carries on a very public flirtation with the tattooed woman, and their knife-throwing act is heavily sexualized.   My views Plot The film focuses on the ongoing conflict between  Maximilian I  ( Brian Aherne ), an Austrian archduke who is installed as the ruler of  Mexico  by the French Napoleon III ( Claude Rains ), and  Benito Juárez  ( Paul Muni ), the country's U.S.-backed president. In 1863,  Napoleon III of France , fearful he will lose  Mexico  to Juárez, circumvents the  Monroe Doctrine  by instituting sovereign rule and controlling an election that places Maximilian von Habsburg on the Mexican throne. Upon his arrival in the country with his wife  Carlota  ( Bette Davis ), Maxmilian realizes he is expected to establish French supremacy by confiscating land that Juárez had returned to the native people and penalizing the rebels under his command. Maximilian decides to abdicate his throne but is deterred from doing so by Carlota. Maximillian offers Juárez the position of prime minister, but Juárez's refusal to compromise ...

  My views Plot Wallace invents a robotic  garden gnome , Norbot, and creates a business hiring it out to work in people's gardens. His dog, Gromit, feels left out and is concerned by Wallace's reliance on technology. Annoyed at Norbot's loud recharging at night, Gromit takes Norbot to the basement and plugs him into a computer to charge. Feathers McGraw , a penguin apprehended by Wallace and Gromit after stealing the Blue Diamond from the city museum, is imprisoned in a zoo. [ a ]  When he hears about Norbot on television, he hacks into Wallace's computer and reprograms Norbot to serve him and create an army of gnomes. While working at homes around the city, the gnomes steal several objects. Chief Inspector Albert Mackintosh and his new recruit, PC Mukherjee, conclude that Wallace is responsible and confiscate most of his inventions, but do not find the gnomes.   My views Plot Paul Crewe is a former  National Football League   quarterback  who was accused of  shaving points . Though it was never confirmed, he was placed on federal probation for five years. One night, dissatisfied with his life, he gets drunk during a party and goes  joyriding  through  San Diego  in his girlfriend Lena's  Bentley , causing a high-speed police chase and car crash. His probation is revoked and he is sentenced to three years in prison. Instead of being imprisoned in California, he gets transferred to Texas, thanks to the influence and contacts of Warden Rudolph Hazen, an avid football fan. Wishing to boost his prison's reputation for future elections as State Governor, he uses threats and confinement in a  hot box  to coerce Crewe into helping the prison guards' football team, led by the sadistic Captain Knauer.
